Future of Writing (And Dimensional Heroes)

If you’ve have been caught up with Book 2 (Or follow my announcements) you may have heard the news that I abruptly concluded the book. As promised, this blogpost will explain everything that’s currently going on. To put it simply, a year has pass since the release of episode 22 on Wattpad. So much has changed since then. Dimensional Heroes turned 5 years old in February (Unfortunately I was very busy, so I forgot to make an update post), continued writing episode 23, and much more. But on September 1st, I concluded Book 2. The reasoning is not college life, but constant decision making for the future of writing and this series. Now, let’s get this out of the way, Dimensional Heroes isn’t fully cancelled, this is just a reboot, as a transition to AO3. Now, let’s talk about why I’m doing this.

Constant Struggle Between AO3 and Wattpad Dimensional Heroes

So this is one major part, deciding if I should continue Book 2 of Dimensional Heroes on Wattpad or cancel it and just focus on AO3’s Book 1. But as time went on, I started to slowly realize that Wattpad wasn’t not meant for me anymore. 

Community

One major reason is because of the algorithm on Wattpad, I feel like my story isn’t going to become as widespread as it should be. From what I’ve seen, stories on AO3 are far more accessible and that tends to led to more interactions. This is something I desperately need, and I feel like continuing with Book 2 isn’t really ideal because I kinda already planned it out, but at the same time I’m rewriting Book 1. So it would be far more ideal for me to just go Book 1. In addition, I can get myself a co-writer on AO3 for my series, this is beneficial, especially for an ideal long running series such as Dimensional Heroes. 

Reestablishment 

Another thing I want to do going forward is a reestablishing lore, making things more consistent going forward. As you can see on Wattpad, I was kinda thinking things just for the sake of it, mainly focusing on what is going to come in the next book. I really wasn’t thinking in the next few books, just what’s going to happen in the next book. Is it ideal to do both runs at the same time? Or is it better to just end the previous run and start a new one? You would likely choose to start a new run.

Additionally, I found some major issues with my old writings, for example, my weird hatred towards Sonic in Book 1, making it seem like he’s an asshole. Or introducing so many powerful (Like actual OP) characters so early, such as General Flame. In the next blog, whenever it releases, I’ll be discussing some character changes that will happening with the AO3 version.

Writing Format 

Lastly, I despise Wattpad’s writing format, each time I go back and continue working on Book 2, it just seems like a miserable place. I don’t really know how to explain it, but writing on AO3 is just more pleasant than writing on Wattpad. Likely due to there being a lot more accessible tools on AO3 than Wattpad. Having a better writing format generally encourages me to continue writing, you can’t expect me to be writing when the format is ass. 

Fate of Wattpad 

At first, this was a hard decision in 2024, I’ve been on Wattpad for almost over 6 years at that time. And I’ve been on AO3 for almost a year. I once thought being on these two sites would benefit me, but as it turns out, it really doesn’t. If you were just a reviewer on two platforms then it would make sense, but I’m not a viewer, I’m a writer. If you asked me in 2024, how would I feel leaving Wattpad, I would’ve said I would be upset. But now, I’m actually looking forward to leaving it. It isn’t because the people there are awful, but there’s nothing encouraging on Wattpad compared to AO3. For one AO3 allows far more higher quality fanfics compared to Wattpad and is better for an older audience. 

Wattpad is something that I would suggest starting to write fanfic, but if you want your fanfics to reach their full potential, then AO3 is a better choice than Wattpad. Its not really a contest. I don’t remember the last time I’ve read a fanfic from Wattpad, all I know it wasn’t this year. AO3 on the other hand, I’ve been reading some fanfics on that site and they are way more enjoyable. Logically speaking, it would be better for me to go to the site with higher quality fanfics, writing format, and communities.

My Wattpad account isn’t being deactivated because I feel like it’s necessary to leave the Wattpad versions up. This will allow people to compare the AO3 version is going to be compared to the Wattpad version, and see my evolution in writing the series. This series is something I’m passionate about and I want it to reach its full potential, but at the same time I want people to see the first steps of the series.

Dimensional Heroes 4th Anniversary Overview

Dimensional Heroes 4th Anniversary 

Well it’s been a while since you guys have heard anything on the series, and I feel like now is the perfect time to make another blog on the series as since tomorrow the series turns 4 years old. So I decided, why not discuss Book 2 and the future of the series, from this year and beyond.

Status of Book 2

With the upcoming release of episode 21 upon us, season 2 will FINALLY head to its final stage after the release of the upcoming episode. And for that honor, I will reveal the synopsis below for the last 6 episodes:

"Wrath of Wind has entered it’s final stage with a dramatic battle between the Dimensional Heroes and the General Winds. They’ve found who was responsible for all the chaos around the world. The Dimensional Heroes must stop the two last obstacles, Junior and Senior General Wind in order to prevent the destruction of Earthpiter and the cosmos itself. No matter who wins, the cosmos itself will change.”

As for the release date, it's currently unknown, but please stay tune for the final stages of the season. As for what you can expect, expect the LONGEST episodes to date. Episode 21, the upcoming episode, is already twice as long as episode 10. This episode will be the biggest chapter I’ve done for both the series and writing overall for me, well for now since the next few episodes, I’ll try to surpass Episode 21 in length, if not just be comparable in length. Who knows for sure, we’ll see.

Potential Release Date

Unlike episodes 22-26, which I’ll be talking about shortly, I have an estimated release date for Episode 21, but expect it to change. This is because this week I’ll be busy with studying for exams and projects. However, I’m nearly complete with this episode, so I can give an estimate release date of around the last week of February, I’ll have exams that week but it’s honestly probably the best time to so I can get it out of the way. If it’s not in the last week of February, then expect it in the first week of March.

After Credits

Yes, there will be an after credits of this season. I’ll just say it right now, you don’t want to miss it. It will be a major reveal, that will set up the next book, and the next saga.

You heard that right, the first saga is almost over. Which I like to call it, The New Beginning Saga, since it marks a new beginning for the team. But you can call it The New Hero Saga or The New Recruit Saga.

I won’t reveal the name of the next saga until I conclude Book 2. With Book 2 out of the way, let’s talk about Book 3. 

Book 3

Unlike the previous installments, this is one planned rather recently, especially since I’ve decided this series may have more than 10 books. 

As of right now I tell you all, anything about the plot, go into the introduction of the new characters, and how will it begin since season 2 still isn't finished yet. But I’ll say this, the villain of this book/season is not connected with the Dimensional Villains and expect a major flashback!

Much like episode 22-26, there is no estimated release date yet, but new information will come out a week after episode 26 has been published. So stay tune, can't wait to show you more in the future.

Future of the Series 

Filler Series? 

Not saying I’ll make it, but if I do make this series. It’s meant to take place before or after the season or episode. Unlike other installments, this will be more of a slice of life so don’t expect too much action. Revolving around the team, so we get to know them more and their personalities, overall their interactions. This all of course depends on the next topic.

Books

I mentioned this in the Book 3 section, but I wanted to go more in depth here. Back when I started Book 1, I stated that the series will have 10 Books and would end by 2022. Well, looking at now, not only was I far off, I’m not even half way through the series, and 2022 was 2 years ago. To be honest, I’m thankful because I got chances to think about the series more and more. Because I feel like if I wanted to end the series in 2022, it would’ve been messy and also very rushed. Admittedly, I have no idea how many Books I’m doing, so as of right now the series has been extended indefinitely. I’ll keep you all updated on how much of the series is completed.

Future Publishing Site

Now this is something that’s probably unexpected to everyone, but as of right now. I’m currently deciding if I should continue this series on Wattpad or AO3, this is mostly because ever since I’ve gotten back on here, I felt like the Wattpad app isn’t really the best for me. 

First reason is the formatting, for example if you want to cut from one scene to another, AO3 does it better, on that site you don’t have to use something like meanwhile to transfer to the next scene, you can just put a line and go to the next scene. 

Second reason is the search system on AO3 is better than Wattpad, based on what I’ve heard and personal experiences. Along with the tagging system, from what I’ve heard anyways. So really, if the series does better on AO3 than Wattpad, or if I feel like writing there is a lot easier, then I’ll just move the rest of my series there. 

However there is also an option of just releasing on both sites. But I feel like that’s just too much effort, so I’ll resort to one site in the future. If anyone has any recommendations please let me know!

Season 2 and Future of the series

Hello everyone and welcome to my first blog pot of the Dimensional Heroes book series. Of course before we start, I want to thank you for the support. We are so close to 600 reads and 300 followers on Wattpad. If your new and haven't seen or heard of my account here's the link:

Now that we are basically done with the introduction, let's actually get to this short blog post:

Book 1 or Season 1 of the DH series. My first installment of this series was much more successful than I thought. By now, I thought I would have at least 200 reads, but we got up to over 500 reads. So some of you guys may be noticing and questioning, why is it taking a longer time to release each episode? Or something. But, the main reason why is because I don't want it to flop, I mean episode 8 kinda flop, I kinda expected it because it was nearly a month since I last released an episode. One of the few reasons why is online school, which takes a while to do, even though I use my phone while studying (Don't judge me). But anyways, the season is complete and we are moving on to season. This season was fun to do overall, and I can’t wait to do more for this series.

This right here,  ladies and gentlemen, is the official cover for season 2. I showed you all the teaser on Discord, however it wasn’t the final, THIS is the final. Now I can’t go too deep on details of it because I’m releasing some small details of the story soon, not on this blog. But what I can say is, this story will mostly be about the relationship of the team. Will they get along or will they fall apart, and I really want to focus on is how it will set up book 3. What else I can tell you is that, you can expect Dark Clock (Dark Kronos) and Assassin to appear in this season, as for how big their role will be, I’ll decide, for Dark Clock, but for Assassin, like last season he won’t appear that much, but you will see him more this season. As for who the main villain is, well, he will be introduced when the short details of the story come out.

Sorry if this blog is short, but I didn’t want to make it long, expect Season 2, by next week. But before we end this blog, I want to mention that this universe will be a shared multiverse. Yes you heard me, a shared novel multiverse on Wattpad, as for what this universe is really called is up to you. I call it with Dimensional Mythos or Godzilla Mythos, I dunno. As for when will it really start, will be up to you. I’ll add more information on another blog and Discord. Until then, you can’t really release them. But after season 2, you will have a chance. Another thing I want to bring up is Dimensional Heroes BTS, well I decided to release that, this weekend so once we get that out of the way, we can focus on season 2!
